Hello from Deseret Land & Livestock -Trek headquarters, Another chapter: Sister Hawk and I were not assigned a Trek this week, but we spent our time help the other missionaries. We had around 800 trekkers this week, the weather was wonderful. Yesterday it was 72 degrees. The wind blew as always but not as hard. The flowers are coming out and there are many. One of the groups didn't follow our rules very well, but we always have the last word about the deposit and booking them in future years.
When one group got here the Stake President told Elder Platt that he didn't think his Stake would ever do trek again, because it was lots of work for just three or four days, as they were leaving the Stake President again told Elder Platt, he would do all in his power to see that his Stake would return, the spirit is so strong here you can almost see it. God blesses all who come here each week, I see it in the faces of the Trekkers every where I look. This is such a good place to be, at this time in our life.
Our health is good and even at this high altitude we are able to do all that is asked of us. During the time the Treks are here we work many hours, but the rewards are great. I have learned to do some leather work and I have made Sister Hawk a scripture bag, she likes it even if it isn't prefect.
God lives, Jesus is the Christ.
God bless all who read this.
