DL&L Weekly Report - June 28, 2008

Another week finished. We were in charge of a 400 person trek from Farmington, Utah South Stake. It was time well spent and many good things happened. The trek came in on Wednesday morning. The support people arrived at 8 am the trekkers came at about 11:30 am. They spent the better part of the day at Fox Hollow getting ready to travel. This outfit had 30 handcarts. They trekked 7.5 miles the first evening. I walked ahead to show them the way. I walked a total of 15 miles this week. We have no problem walking even in this altitude of from 6900 to 7500 feet. The weather have been great this week. The high was around 80 degrees, with lows around 38.

This Farmington outfit drank 950 gal. of water the first 24 hours. I guess some of it was for dish washing but that was the most I have seen so far. We are only having two treks next week due to July 4th week. They will come on Monday this week. Sister Hawk and I don't have one this week. We are starting some concrete work that we need done. Elder Sherwood wants me to help him with the mud work so I guess I can do it. We have an old flag that was used here at the depot and we are going to have a retirement program on the 4th. We will miss the 4th in Delta this year but maybe in a couple of years we will make it. We are working hard but the Lord blesses us so much here.

Our health is good and all is well.

God Bless all
