Arrived at Desert Land and Livestock - May 6, 2008

We got to the ranch about noon, had to come on some muddy roads. It is about 3 miles from the depot to the freeway. We get off on exit 191. Got things set up around 4:30. I had to freeze protect the water line because it freeze at night. There are no trees that I have seen so far. We start at 8 AM in the morning with a meeting in the depot. The sisters will clean the depot in the morning, The Elders will be getting the Handcart from the barn. We will make sure everything is in working order. There is still some snow around as you can see from the pictures.

Each set of missionaries will have a truck. We will be getting them in a couple of days. We will need to learn all the trek routes so we can show the various groups. Sister Hawk and I will have our first route review on May 17, so we need to get things down. I have seen many Antelope day. We had to go to Evanston this evening to get a few things. On the way out and then again coming back we saw Antelope. This is rolling hill country. I think about seeing Indians on every hill. You know Louis L'Amour. I love this country. We did not have TV, the satellite radio works but only in the truck. Our new radio is not as powerful as the old one and we can't listen to the cubs in the trailer. I better go for to night, it looks like we will go to bed at dark and get up with the sun.

God Bless you all
