Deseret Land & Livestock Update - May 24, 2008

Well this is just another note to let you all know we are OK. We had a big storm past. We had rain & snow and everything in between.

We went for a hike this morning and saw birds and antelope, we are still learning the trail system up here. All the roads are muddy and we don't want to drive because of the ruts we leave. Sister Hawk and the other sisters went into town for supplies, but I stayed on the ranch.

There is a large band of sheep moving though to the high country. The hoarder came in last night to get a post, it seems his horse gets away so he staked him out with a metal post. It looks like a couple of thousand head of sheep. Cowboys are also moving cattle though and the cattle will be staying in the corrals here tonight. This is a wonderful place for me to serve a mission. Wildlife every place you look, I really love this wide open country. It still freezes about every night. Raining as I write this, flowers will soon be coming as well as other plant life. It has greened up, and the only thing we need is a little bit of sun.

I enclose a few pictures
